ECHPAS NC 10 Passivation without Chrom

ECHPAS NC 10 is a chromium-free, acidic, and inorganic substance that can be applied by dipping or spraying. In the phosphating process, it is used to remove salts formed on the metal surface by cations such as Na+, K+, Ca+, Mg+ and anions such as Cl-, SO4-2, NO3-, etc., present in water. If these salts are not removed during the passivation process, moisture from the air can diffuse into the phosphated metal surface covered with a semi-permeable paint layer, leading to salt formation, paint blistering, and ultimately, tearing of the coating. Therefore, passivation is essential to enhance the corrosion resistance of the metal and improve paint adhesion.
