ECHPAS 10 Passivation

ECHPAS 10, used in the passivation process of phosphating, is an acidic (Cr+6) and inorganic substance. The magnesium (Mg) and calcium (Ca) ions present in water form water-soluble salts inside the phosphate crystals. If these salts are not removed during the passivation process, they dissolve when the moisture in the air diffuses into the semi-permeable paint layer, causing the paint to blister and tear. Therefore, the passivation process enhances the corrosion resistance and paint adhesion capability of the produced product.
